Hey has anyone experienced their baby being allergic to soya directly but no reaction through breastmilk?

Yes one of mine was allergic to milk and soya (and egg). All outgrown when she was older (though she still doesn't eat many milk products!)

@SpotOnMyBot my baby had an allergy test which came back confirmed CMPA and everything else was fine. I gave him SMA soya to try and he had a couple of bottles over 24 hours and then this morning his skin reacted with patches everywhere like it does with milk. I have had soya but i'm not sure he reacts through my milk I'll obviously have to do process of elimination, it gets confusing at times just when things progress :(

How old is your baby? I don't think soya is generally considered a suitable substitute milk for young babies with CMPI. There are hydrolysed formulas you get on prescription which are generally given.

Lots of children with CMPI also can't tolerate soya but often grow out if both intolerances.
