Milk Reintroduction nightmare

Hi all,

I’m new to mumsnet and posting due to feeling very worried for my 3 month old son. He has been on Neocate for suspected cows milk protein allergy for a bit over a month and showed improvements. To complete the trial we were encouraged to reintroduce normal formula. He was windy but fine on days 1-2 but by the end of day 3 was very distressed. We stopped immediately. It’s now 4 days later and he is still very distressed, not smiling very much and in pain with every feed. He is also feeding less. Is this typical? Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, how long did it take to resolve.

Thank you so much in advance for any help,

Rhi

How is everything now @RhianneD? Has your DS settled down at all?

Hi Priti, thank you for messaging! I’m so grateful to say he is doing so much better. Reflux has stuck around but his upset tummy is gone! It took a while though. I think we’ll definitely get a CMPA diagnosis unfortunately. Is this something you have experienced?
