please help my dr says she has no idea what’s going on. I woke yesterday morning covered in a bad rash on my chest and neck. I called the gp who looked at pictures and said she didn’t know what it was, she had shown a colleague who also didn’t know what it was, but suggested steroids. However after asking me if anyone around me was unwell (I said my 11 year old daughter was gone with a sore throat) she changed her mind and instead prescribed us both antibiotics for scarlet fever. In the pharmacy the pharmacist said it looked very much like an allergic reaction and told me to take antihistamines. I took one yesterday. Woke up this morning and my eyes were d so it’s snd itchy and puffy and the rash was in my face and my face slightly swollen/puffy. I went to see gp who said “it’s hard to tell Because all rashes look the same” (she had been looking at rashes on Google). But gave me a steroid for 3 days. The steroid has improved the rash but it comes back when it wears off. I know it sounds stupid but I’m scared if it’s something in my environment and I’m still exposed I will have an anaphylactic reaction if I don’t identify it. I’ve attached pictures. Any advice would be amazing.

You haven't touched anything round your neck, used cream or even something like decorating a real Christmas tree, if we have a real tree DH come out in a large rash if he has any contact with it at all, when you have an allergic rash the area of rash is often much larger than the original contact area. I was allergic to something in a leather belt once and the allergic rash was all over my middle not just where the belt had contact

Hi!
Did you get a diagnosis of this at all or find anything that helped?
I'm currently suffering from what looks exactly the same thing and 4 different gp still don't know what it is. On a waiting list for dermatology but suffering so bad!

Does it reduce with an antihistamine tablet and allergy cream? Try a trial patch.

Take Quercetin to damp allergies down.
