Eating tea tonight, Dd has her friend over for a sleepover, We made homemade pizzas, wedges and garlic bread. There was grated cheese on the table to go with said garlic bread and DD@s friend said 'I dont want any cheese I cant eat it I'm allergic'(she's 7).

I asked if she was able to eat pizza (she came to pizza hut with us before) and she said yes it was fine. So I assumed she would be ok. Now I'm worrying a bit.

Her mum is a friend though, and she has been here quite a few times so I'd expect her to have told me about it.

She's not likely to get ill in the night is she??

Many children say they're allergic to things when they actually just don't like them. I'm sure her mum would have mentioned a real allergy to you. Don't worry about it, but do tell her mum about it tomorrow in a light-hearted fashion just so she knows that her child is saying these things.

Hmm, I know when I was younger mum used to say I was allergic to tomatoes, because they didnt agree with me and I would sometimes get a bit rashy, but it wasnt the same as a nut allergy or anything, just not great so I'm hoping she is the same, will mention it to her mum tomorrow though.

VS - if she'd been to Pizza Hut with you before then her Mum would deffo have mentioned it then, if not again now.

Child is just using word for more effect!
