Nutella

I've got some kind of allergy to Nutella. I'm not allergic to nuts or things with nuts in. When I eat Nutella, I feel unwell, very groggy, sleepy, no energy, and my asthma is worse than usual.

This is going to sound crazy but I haven't had Nutella for so long and I forgot about how it makes me feel. I had it on my toast this morning and have spent the day feeling utterly dreadful.

I wondered if anyone else has come across this before with Nutella?

Are you sure it's not hazelnuts? You could be okay with other nuts but hazelnuts specifically a no-go.

Nuts arent an overall category allergy for most people, often its specific nuts like it seems hazelnuts might be for you.

It definitely sounds like some sort of allergy... if I eat Nutella I get a tickly / itchy throat and sneeze a lot (basically like hay fever symptoms) shortly afterwards even though I don't have a nut allergy...

I can't eat anything containing soya lecithin (not sure spelt that right!) which is used as an emulsifier in a lot of chocolate, cakes, bread, etc. makes me bloated and exhausted. Like, REALLY exhausted. It's an intolerance rather than an allergy for me. I think it's in Nutella.
