PurAmino out of stock :(

Hello lovelies.

Looking for some advice from fellow CMPA parents. My 6 month old DD has non ige CMPA and after reacting to the Pepti 1 we were changed onto PurAmino at 6 weeks old. She's miles better on it but for months she'd only take half of her daily amount... on a good day! There was a question of soy allergy due to the occasional mucousy nappy and mild symptoms but the dietician and I discussed this and decided to give her a little longer on the milk.
Over the past two weeks she's suddenly turned a corner and is totally thriving on it. She's gaining weight and absolutely tanking bottles and for the first time I've managed to relax about her feeding. Until today..
I popped in to collect her repeat prescription only to find PurAmino was out of stock. I'd seen on some of the CMPA message boards that people were struggling to find it abroad but wasn't aware of the stock issue here. My doctor had helpfully prescribed Althera as an alternative... but the pharmacy clocked on that this wasn't an amino acid formula and ordered me in some Alfamino instead and they're contacting the doctor Monday to change the script.
Normally I've got a stash but I was late picking this up due to a sickness bug so I'm down to less than a few days worth of my PurAmino.
The pharmacy have no idea whether they'll be able to get any and if they can, how long it'll be. So it looks like I'm going to have to change her over.
Thankfully I do have SOME in my little stash so I can do it gradually over the next few days for her and hopefully it won't cause too much of a problem but I'm absolutely terrified of rocking the boat.
She's only just settled :(
I'm also worried that I'll change her over and then they'll magically get PurAmino back and I'll have to switch her again!

So my questions are... those of you who've changed between two AA formulas, was it okay? Did they show any issues from it all?
And those who have had your formula changed due to supply issues, once you've made the switch, does your GP normally switch you for good or am I heading towards a second milk change soon enough?

Part of me was considering carrying on with the PurAmino and then seeing what the deal was once we were finished but realistically if they can't get it in then, I won't have anything to mix with the new one so she'll end up switching cold turkey. Which could be a bit of a disaster.

Thanks everyone, curve balls like this like to come at the worst times..!!

Also, is the best way to do it scoop by scoop over a week? I'm hoping it'll all be a worry for nothing and she'll be totally fine but she's tanked bottles today and been so very happy it's almost like she's saying "mum I'm finally loving my milk!" And I hate that I'm about to change it.
Positives though... alfamino smells way better and I much prefer the scoop!
