Possible CMPA at 10 months..

Long post … My LG is 10 months old tomorrow… little back story, when she was a newborn we thought she had reflux she was quite sick not keeping no milk down, they tried her on gaviscon just made her constipated so took her off that. Then they wanted to eliminate CMPA so put her on nutramigen that helped her sickness quite a bit so they weaned her back onto normal formula and her sickness stayed away and that was that…

Now since about December she’s started having really bad poos and a girl at work mentioned it looked like CMPA allergy. So I’ve been to the doctor today she said it should be more formed by now and to try her on nutramigen again and cut milk and stuff out of her diet.

Question is nutramigen makes babies poos green and loose so how am I gunna know if it’s working seen as her loose poo is the only symptom she has?
Thanks!

My LO has milk allegies etc. What is sleep like? Any eczema? Or constant runny nose? There are a few different symptoms.

@Mummy2C no the only symptom she’s got is very loose stools, other than that she’s a very happy baby and sleeps really well x

GPs are well known for not understanding band recognizing cmpa. Ask for a referral to a dietician. They'll be able to help you through it.

Sounds like she might be non-ige. I am too so the only symptoms I get are swollen and painful tummy abs everything that goes with that and I also get cranky.

If she is non-ige I'm not sure how you will tell, although she might seem happier in herself.

Have you thought of asking Allergy UK on their Helpline?
