I bought some to use on my 3 year old son last week (caught the dreaded things from nursery) - i specifically was given that one becasue its safe for asthmatics.

It was one of those that you leae in for 10 mins only which we did and gave him a bath after so it was thoroughly cleaned off but the next morning he had a red blotchy and pimply rash from his neck down to his waist. His ears also swelled up and his had this rash around his eyes too.

My doctor thinks he's allergic to the phenothrin ingrediant that is in it. Do you know if anything else contains this ingrediant that we should avoid or is it just that?

it's not somethign I know anything about but googling suggests that its sometimes sprayed in aircraft so you may need to ask airlines if they use it before flying anywhere.
