Dairy and wheat! Weight loss??

Hi!
Recently found out I am completely dairy and wheat intolerent 😩

Has anyone cut these out and successfully lost weight?

I've always been big (I don't even eat that much, honestly!) and I'm hoping this is the answer as to why I struggle so much.

Also worried as these free from products are loaded with calories..

Currently on week 3 of this new diet

Thanks!

You don't need to eat 'free from' products. They often taste disgusting anyway. They aren't necessarily any more calorific than their wheat/dairy equivalents, but they are often highly processed and full of unpronounceable ingredients.

I eliminated dairy and wheat for a while when trying to identify the cause of some digestive symptoms. I discovered gluten-free bread is revolting and that lactofree cow's milk tastes exactly like normal cow's milk but that I hate all non-dairy milks. I didn't really lose any weight.

Are you allergic to cows milk protein or intolerent to lactose. You need to know that because you cant have lactose fee products if the former.
