I'm so fed up. Had another allergic reaction to something unknown.

Went for blood test at gp earlier this year. Results said allergy to dogs and cats. I have a cat. Referred me to allergy clinic for further testing but because of covid its been pushed back and back.

I get reactions at work, which is a kitchen so definitely no cats or dogs! I had a reaction today walking into town.. again definitely no pets!

Symptoms vary each time but I can get sneezing, itchy throat, itchy scalp, today had tingling heals. My face swells, numb mouth, numb chin. The only consistent Symptom is my eyes swell up and the puffiness lasts a few days. I am so fed up! I take an antihistamine tablet but once the reaction starts it keeps going..

Are you taking antihistamines every day for just in case?

I would do that and also use hayfever eye drops (Opticrom or similar).

I had an unexplained allergic condition for many years and finally was diagnosed with a type of exercise induced anaphylaxis, which doesn't always result in anaphylaxis and can be triggered by quite mild activity (as well as heat, stress, menstruating, alcohol and NSAIDs).
