the best ones are the ones you can get on prescrption from dr's. you can get a bread mix for the machine on p too. There is a delia recipe for chese and potatoe bread that works ok with the dove farm gluten free flour.....

personally have never got on with the breads etc....

julen,
i really wouldnt bother-gluten free bread is disgusting aswell as really expensive.i normally just stick to rice cakes or corn cakes/crackers which are really yummy.some people can tollerate rye bread on a yeast/whaet free diet as theres only very small amounts in the recipe but each person is individual so it might not suit him.
ive also got a couple of recipe books by antoinette savill but like most cook books ive never tried them out but your could try contacting the coeliac society on 01494 437278 or well foods at www.bake-it.com
hope this is helpful

Thanks, both of you - that's great. I'll tell my friend about it. (She tried to just make one up yesterday and it was very yuk, or so she said, so this will be very welcome - thanks again!)

I'll let her know, thanks SueW. (Leicester is a bit far from where we are, but I guess there will be more..!)
