Does Benadryl work? The one in the blue box that you can take upto 3 times a day . I have bad allergies and need the best one on the market. Or is piriton stronger? I need a fast acting strong one for my symptoms

Allergic to the cat but don't want to regime him as he's part of the family now so need something to help me deal with it

Benadryl Plus is the strongest one they make, you can only buy one box at a time, over the counter. It's in a very similar looking box, but says 'plus' under the big Benadryl logo.

It's the best one I have found. Still not 100% on really high pollen days, but at least I can console myself that in a few hours I can have another!

I've taken 2 in the last half hour and no relief

If you are allergic to your cat then hay fever pills won't cut it. It's a deeper down allergy if that makes sense! Do you get asthma? I'm really allergic to cats, no pills on earth help, I just have to be somewhere that doesn't have them.. sorry...

I have hay fever and the one I find most effective is their capsules, active ingredient acrivastine. Can be taken 3 or 4 times a day.

When DS’s allergies were bad when he was younger the GP had me give him liquid, one tsp at breakfast time and one tsp after school.

But have you tried a nasal spray? Avamys is only available on prescription but it seems to stop allergies in their tracks. DS and I both use it and if used properly has removed the need for any antihistamines.

You can get it from an online pharmacy by filling in an online consultation form.

If you do try a nasal spray have a google for ‘how to use a nasal spray properly’. You kind of have to look down and point the nozzle towards your outer eye rather than straight up your nose.

Also if you have asthma too, google ‘One Airway Theory + allergies’. Soz if you know this stuff already.

I know you don't want to rehome but you will suffer long time health problems if you don't. That's not what you want to hear, sorry 💐

Try the GP. I take fexofenadine 180mg for allergies.

Have you tried petal cleanse on the cat? Also this household spray is really good. Allersearch ADMS Anti-Allergen Spray 32 oz.
We also have an air purifier up and downstairs.
