Hello ladies

Can anyone give their opinion as to how many lines are visible on this test kit?

It's a home celiac test.

Thanks Smile

I can clearly see the control test line. There is a slight shadow of where a line would be if positive but it’s not a clear line so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Could you ask the dr for a blood test to check if you have concerning symptoms? I have to say I did a home vitamin D test that indicated I was fine but my symptoms were so bad I discussed it with a dr & got a blood test, they put me on double dose prescription strength vitamin D tablets and quadrupled them in winter when my levels dropped further so I’m not convinced these home tests are a good idea unless you send a little vial of blood back to them and they are lab tested.

If you suspect you have coeliac disease, please see your GP. They will check your bloods, and possibly do a colonoscopy and endoscopy with biopsy.

It's a serious autoimmune disorder and requires proper testing.

Ok sorry I should say I'm under investigation for coeliac disease. I have low iron and low folate as well as stomach symptoms. My first blood test for coeliac came back "ok" and my GP refuses to go any further with it. But it was only an IGA test and it often has false negatives due to IGA deficiency in some people. This test captures DGP antibodies which can be present in people who have a negative IGA test.

So I'm not looking for medical advice (I'm actually a doctor!) - just opinions on the test and how many lines are seen.

Thanks everyone x

Fair enough. That's a really annoying state of limbo to be in! Shame they won't do the endoscopy at least. I hope you get some answers.
