Wheat sensitivity - rash on face?

I think my six month old might have a sensitivity to wheat - in the last week or two have just started her on weetabix (her first and so far only wheat apart from porridge, as I know that can be more easily tolerated) and she's developed a dry skin rash on her cheeks and nose. She's also got a bad cold etc and is teething, so don't know if the rash is due to that or a reaction to wheat. Is a rash on the face a typical sympton of an intolerance? Nappies etc and skin on rest of body absolutely fine. Have stopped wheat and rash is clearing, will try it again in a month or so but wondered if anyone else's child had had a similar reaction?

Teething will cause facial rashes. My son's face used to get quite bad when he was teething.

porridge is oats rather than wheat so should be Ok with that. Hard to see if ot would be wheat sensitivity or teething but you're quite right to delay a bit before you try again. Also worth having piriton around whe you rty again. In an emergency you could give a dose even though the bottle says over 1.
