Wondering about shea nut butter - help please

Hi, Neals Yard suggested shea nut butter for a patch of badly dry skin on DD's face. She's 4 and a half months. Have done a search here and found one post advising against use in case of nut allergy, and another post saying its fine.

What are the guidelines on nuts generally and any thoughts on this in particular?

We don't have nut allergies, or any allergies really in our family. I have very dry skin and had mild eczema for a while as a child. DD has dry skin and this new patch may or may not be eczema.

Thanks

I person ally would try it, given that you are not an allergic family. Try to keep it away from her mouth.

Olive oil works too.

Thanks. Yes, she gets a daily basting in olive oil but this new thing needs something a bit stronger. The shea butter has certainly removed the redness - and amazing on cradle cap. Was just suddenly worried in case I was prepping her for a later nut allergy...
