Can I Steam Clean A Memory Foam Mattress??

Since giving birth, skin seems extra sensitive and I seem to have developed a dust mite allergy Am I mad to want to steam vlexn a memory foam mattress? I need to kill the nasty little critters, but am reluctant to use a load of chemicals as don't want to aggrevate my skin further, also I am co-sleeping so don't want to poison my 12 week old.

Don't know if you can steam clean but giving it a good hoover and washing your bedding at 60 degrees should help with the dust mite allergy.
