i have contacted the local water board and we may be allowed a reduction in water rates as both my dd's have ezcema so we use mroe water than the average houshold and as its for medical reasons, we should be entitled. might be worth checking out if the same applies in your area.

I thought this only applied if you were on a water meter Misdee, I recently asked as DS and DD1 need more bath to stop the spasms and they said you have to be on a meter...

pixiefish · 27/10/2004 22:47

I'm on a meter. How severe does the eczema have to be though? dd has it on her face

Chandra · 27/10/2004 23:06

I think it has to be severe enough as to require you to get more showers/baths than people without the problem (several a day). But worth checking.

misdee · 28/10/2004 17:09

it just said reduction in rates, didnt mention a meter. mind u i dont know if we're metered here or not yet.

my dd's require usually one bath minimum a day tho they have had more during bad times. dd1 likes a cool bath to stop her legs itching.

Do you think this would apply for washing too.??? I have to rinse everything by hand...a lot of times to get the cream out....but we are not on a meter and they only bathe once a day.
