Breast milk for eczema

Has anyone used breast milk on a child who has eczema?
A friend recommended using breast milk to treat my toddlers eczema, I have been doing this for 3 days now but today she has come out in a red blotchy rash. She is now refusing to have any cream (aveeno) or milk put on her skin as she's saying it's sore.
Any advice/tips would be very much appreciated. I will be phoning the doctors in the morning x

Make a doctors appointment. They may be prescribed a low dose steroid cream for short term use which usually helps.

Don't bath them every night.
Don't use any perfumed bath products.
Talk to your doctor about a daily creaming regime.
Keep the area dry as much as possible, otherwise it may become sore and inflamed.
Keep toddler nails short so if they do scratch, they can't do too much damage

Yes to all things listed by sar302.

Short term use of low-dose steroid cream to calm down the outbreak, then a good moisturiser everyday.

For us cutting out dairy helped too, but that is not true for everyone.

I know breast milk is often touted as a cure-all, but in this case i believe actual medicine is required.
