Potential FPIES? Or Sweet potato allergy? Please help!

Hi, am very new to Mumsnet (although long time lurker) so apologies in advance if posting in wrong place/or if this has already been covered. I'm just looking for some help as feel a bit abandoned by GP/Paediatrician.

I started weaning DD at 5 months, (have been EBF) everything was fine, at 6 months she woke up one evening after eating sweet potato (she had had it numerous times previously) and started vomiting profusely. She must have vomited about 12 times in total, after a few vomits she went floppy and lethargic so I called 111 who sent an ambulance. We got rushed into hospital, she was severely dehydrated, they initially thought sepsis so pumped her full of antibiotics. This carried on for 3 days, giving her antibiotics, although after the initial fluids she seemed much perkier and the next day was more or less back to herself. So after a few days I decided to carry on with solids. I hadn't made the link at all between sweet potato, and as she loved it so much beforehand, I tried it with her again. An hour later she vomited again, although she had only eaten a morsel. Sounds stupid now, but I thought was just the remnants of the bug still in her system, so a week or so later I tried sweet potato again. She only ingested the tiniest bit, and then was vomiting again, although the second two reactions were nowhere near as bad as the first (I guess that's because she hardly had any at all)
SO finally I worked out that it must be sweet potato, as she had also had carrot, apple, and banana in between and all been fine.
However, after the last sickness episode, DD has absolutely refused to eat anything. I've tried the spoon, finger food, letting her play with it, but nothing. She is now 7 months and hasn't eaten more than a tiny morsel a day since before she was ill.

Basically, the point of this long post I guess, is to see if there was anybody with similar experience, or if anybody thinks this sounds like FPIES? My GP hadn't heard of it and I've just stumbled across it on google.
DD also has a CMPA, she was having blood in her nappy and eczema for months until I saw a pediatrician who told me to avoid dairy and her symptoms cleared up. However, I have had absolutely no follow up appointment with him about this, it all just feels a bit vague. He prescribed me a tub of Neocate which she won't touch - it smells awful.

So if anyone has any experience of either a sweet potato allergy, or FPIES, I'd love to hear from you. I'm scared to give her foods she hasn't had before in case it triggers another reaction, I just feel a bit lost and don't really know if I should be pushing my GP to help or if I should just carry on and see what happens.

Thank you in advance for your time, and apologies for the super long rambling message!
