My LO is 18 weeks and for the last 2 weeks has been sick after the majority of feeds. Some is just a little spit up but others is more or less a whole feed. He is also quite wheezy.

He is now exclusively breast fed but back in March I did try him on formula. Some of the days he was fine, other days he was quite sick however I put this down to guzzling the bottle too quickly.

Some nights he is inconsolable and really struggle to get him off to sleep - constantly crying and ends up falling asleep on me through pure exhaustion. He feeds throughout the night and has starting waking up every two hours for a feed, but is never sick in the night. He has been like this for a while and I put this down to colic.

In the past few weeks, with husband on furlough, I have probably eaten more dairy - pancakes, ice creams, chocolate, etc. I am going to now cut out dairy but I was just wondering from others experiences if you think this could be a dairy intolerance/CMPA?

Thank you!

The only way you’ll know is to cut it out. My ebf DS2 had cmpa, he was sicky, diarrhoea and awful eczema. He wasn’t diagnosed until 8 months though it was a long process getting anyone to believe me. We were both dairy free then started the milk ladder at 14 months. He is now 19 months and can have all dairy but is allergic to oranges!
