Possible wheat Intolerance?!

Since lockdown i have been eating bread everyday and put on weight from moving less and eating more generally.

Although I have just noticed i have had alot of wind recently and my belly is massively bloated (I thought from putting on weight) but now I'm wondering if it's actully bloated from bread.

How do you know if you are wheat intolerant? If i cut out bread now how quickly will I notice a difference igf it is a wheat issue?

Looking at symptoms online it said sneezing and astma are symptoms of a wheat interolance is this correct?

Any advice welcome :)

Try not eating bread for a week and see if there's any difference, bread bloats my partner out loads, takes him about 3 days to lose the bloating, I guess however long your body takes to digest it all.

Keep a food diary and keep track of what days you're bloated, then you can track back what caused it cus you should start to see patterns.

Yea i think bread needs to go right away and maybe pasta too. Now I need to get creative with what I can eat as bread is just so easy!

Yeah I'd definitely cut it out. I went through a phase of this, so did my mum. I think a lot of people do if they eat it a lot for a while. It's probably not a full blown intolerance but if you cut it out for a while and reintroduce slowly, you'll know. Yes, there can be lots of other symptoms of wheat/gluten intolerance too, such as hay fever type symptoms, rash, joint and muscle pain and brain fog. My sis is a dietitian for the biggest gluten free company.

You could switch to gluten free bread. If regular bread is the problem, gf won't be an issue. There's loads of nice ones now.

I think your right about eating alot of bread regulary. As at one point I stopped eating bread and would only eat it occasionally and I was fine, it seems like a build up of too much bread all the time.

It's interesting you mentioned a rash as during lockdown I had a rash which I thought was maybe from being stuck indoors all the time before the sun was out.

I also have joint pain so will look into this more

Are you sure you have been eating enough more and moving less enough to put on weight? I ask as I am intolerant to eight things and if I eat any of them the weight goes on. I nearly cried this morning when I weighed myself and have gone up 1.6lb since Friday. To be fair I had had an upsetting dream so I was already emotional.

I am going to start a thread to see if anyone else has weight gain, not just bloating.

This has been happening to me too, the difference can be going up a whole dress size in a couple of days with the bloating
