He was tested for airbourne allergies as well as egg and cats.

He came out in severe hives straight away from egg, and cat was even worse the others were inconclusive as the redness spread.

Ds suffers from anaphylaxis to egg so does it mean he will to cats aswell?

My sympathies.

My DS also had skin prick tests today and reacted to milk, eggs and cats.

We have 2 cats so I'm pretty gutted that it's looking like we'll have to get rid of them.

I don't really know much about anaphylaxis reactions to cats sorry, but hopefully someone else will.

A friend has a ds who is anaphalactic to kiwi but not to egg (egg makes him vomit tho) even though his RAST / skin test results are equally bad for both.

Not an expert but pretty sure you can't conclude that cause his skin prick reaction to cats was worse (than the egg one) that that would make him anaphalactic to cats.

not necessarily. My allergic child has positive tests for foods they can eat safely.

The Cat Protection League never put a healthy cat down but I'd look at the anti-allergy sprays before rehoming a much loved pet.
