Eczema and lymph nodes

Hi all

I just wondered if it's normal for eczema sufferers to frequently have swollen lymph glands. My dd has recently had an infection and had antibiotics to clear her skin, but I've noticed she always seems to have either small lumps around her neck/ears and now recently in her groin area. Last time I spoke to DR about this, he said it shows their is some infection present. Is this quite often the case with eczema? Anyone else have this?

Ds's paed also said ds's lymph glands were slightly swollen, "but this is normal for atopic children." I never thought to ask why - my lymph glands were always swollen when I was a child and although I didn't have eczema I was allergic to stuff.

yep, my ds always has a gland the size of a golf ball near his left ear.You can see it, especially when his hair is newly cut and he has had blood tests because at one stage I was scared in case he had leukeamia or something. The dermamtologist he saw says it's really common in people with eczema.
I would get her checked out if you're worried though, just in case.

Ok maybe not a golf ball, but big. When I took him to see the gp he said " wow, that is quite spectacular!" I first noticed it when he was 2,he's now 4.5
