CMP allergy - baby recovery progress - help

Hi, just hoping for some experiences with recovery from CMP allergy.
My nearly 6 month old girl has been diagnosed with CMP allergy, I'd sort of supected but have been ebf whole time so no severe reactions. But just a never settled baby, mucus in poo, reflux, little patches of eczema, all which would go through good and bad patches. I'm dairy free anyway so thought it couldn't be that, then accidently took probiotic with milk protein in it and had an acute reaction, baby had red puffy face, very unsettled, inconsolable, vomiting, diarreah all over skin rash type thing.
Anyway doctor said sounds like CMP allergy, wait 2-4 weeks to get out of both our systems. We're now nearing two weeks in and we've seen progress but yesterday had some vomiting again, inconsolable and not sleeping for the reflux coming up. So I'm wondering is this the normal path for coming off dairy, worse before better sort of thing? Has anyone got any experience with this?
(I'm also not having any soya, corn, gluten or egg).
Would appreciate some hope, hubby and I are going demented. Wondering whether we just need to be patient or whether we need to be looking at something else going on? Sorry for ramble.
Thanks Smile

Normally, if you eliminate an allergen, you would feel a little better each day. For me I felt much better after 3 days and 2 weeks sort of healed if that makes sense?

I would speak to the GP again and ask to be referred to the allergy clinic.

Hi JJJ,
Thanks for your message.
That fits with what I've read, but nice to have real life experience too thanks

My baby's clear indicator for allergy was dairy, but he ended up having a LOT of allergies so it got confusing for a while. Are you keeping a food diary? If not, start now. It took me 18 months to find the last one and the change was incredible. He grew out of most of the ana parts at about 5 (except for nuts). He's 8 now and still doesn't do well with high allergy ladder dairy or with wheat. It's mostly gut issues and behaviour now tho. (Except the ana to nuts)

In case you're not doing it yet, get baby into probiotics! Will help them grow out faster (if they are going to grow out). Symprove was the only one that worked for us because of allergies
