Adult onset Egg Intolerance

Does anyone have experience of this? It appears to be quite rare but unheard of & I believe that I now have this:

The last 3 times I have eaten boiled eggs I have had the most excruciating burning stomach pain, together with nausea & feeling hot. The pain lasts about 2-3 hours & I feel exhausted & cannot stand up. I’ve carefully assessed what else I consumed during those meals & eggs were the only common factor.

I’m allergic to seafood (throat & tongue swelling etc) but have had this since childhood. Seems bizarre that an egg intolerance would occur at my age (late-40s) after years of regular egg consumption!

From what my allergist told me, you can become allergic to anything at anytime, even if you've eaten it every day before the first reaction. Immune systems are wacky!

In your shoes, I'd avoid egg now. And take antihistamines if you accidentally have some.

Yes I feel the same when I eat eggs despite having eaten them all my life the past few years I have avoided them due to the effects. I managed to figure out it was actually the egg white that I can't eat.
