Intolerance question

For years I’ve had a violent reaction to certain Italian dishes, like urgent upset stomach within twenty minutes of eating. Have never been able to find out what it is before, posted on here once and someone suggested marscapone. I’ve just eaten some mash that randomly has marscapone in it and had the violent reaction. My question is what is it in marscapone that I’m likely to be intolerant to? I can eat other cheeses with no problem unless I’m eating lots of cheese ie too many slices of a Pizza Hut pizza, but even then the reaction will be a slightly upset tummy hours later. A normal amount of cheese day to day is fine. Just wondering if I might be intolerant to dairy without even knowing. I do have loose stools a lot and have been diagnosed with ibs in the past.

Sounds like it could lactose intolerance.

Cheeses such mozzarella, feta, camembert and hard cheese like parmesan are lower in lactose.

I understand Mascarpone to be a high lactose cheese.

Sounds very much like a dairy allergy to me, I've got non-ige Vow's Milk Protein allergy and had a lot of the same symptoms until I cut out dairy completely.

Have you thought of going DF for a couple of weeks to see if your IBS clears up?
