eczema and sun cream

we are going on holiday to the canary islands in 2 weeks and i was wondering what the best sun cream for dd would be, she has mild eczema.
also can you get suncream on prescription for children with eczema?
im sure i read on here that you could.

My DD has very bad eczema however we have a sun cream we use. I will have to ask DW for the name of it when she gets back in as she got it for DD. Will post later with the name.

Never tried to get any on prescription - good idea as it's not cheap!

You may find that you can get a commercial one that will not react. We tried a few and ended up with the Nivea, seems to not bother him.

My dd2 has mild eczema and prior to our holiday I usually go to the doctor and he will prescribe E45 suncream, along with the normal E45 cream we use and sometime acqueous cream too. He also, obligingly, will give me a 'repeat', so I usually get 2 lots and take it all with us.

i just bought some aveeno baby for my 2 years old, we are going to the caribbean in two months (eager I know, but wanted to start testing on her skin). she uses the aveeno cream so thought i would stick with the same brand. so far no reactions on minor skin test. its factor 50!

I use the Aveeno cream on dd and the baby Aveeno suncream. No reations to it at all.

Soltan baby - 50 factor, the only one we can use without reaction. He does look plastered in white stuff though.

Yes we get the E45 one on prescription for dd also. Its factor 50 and says on the back how it can give protection for eczema prone skin. Its a very white looking one and stains clothes a little but is also waterproof. Got to be honest I usually try to avoid using any on dd because of her eczema but had to at the beach the other day and she had no bad effects from it after and thats saying something for our dd. Allergic to everything.
