Just wondering what sort of prices are people paying for grazax. My doctor recommended but it's the price of a small mortgage!! Who can afford this?

I am having sublingual immunotherapy for birch which is similar. It is costing me £350 for 3 months. I am doing it because my hay fever is so bad now it ruins my life for a quarter of the year. This year I was asthmatic with it. It is expensive

Hi Lara

That sounds very reasonably priced. Can I ask where you are getting it from?

My consultant is prescribing it for me aaa private prescription. He is a consultant allergist

Hi Lara

I go to a consultant allergist. But my figure quoted is much higher.

Are you in UK? Not sure what aaa means?

It should have said “as a” (rather than aaa) sorry typing on a phone. This might be a price difference between grass and birch immunotherapy? Mine is a liquid as tablets aren’t yet licensed for birch in the UK. I am surprised grass is more expensive.

Mine had to imported from Spain

Does this help?

Thanks. I would like to make contact with your immunologist or maybe email if you wouldn't mind giving me details. My allergy is to beech or birch? I'll have to check it. And its really not good. Maybe it's a price difference between Ireland and the UK. Have you found the treatment is helping?

Will PM you 😊

LadyTamaraBeauchamp · 23/11/2019 12:25

On whether it is working, too early to say as I have only been doing it for a month. March/April I will be able to confirm for definite if it is working
