DLA and Eczema

Over the weekend I met up with a friend who I haven't seen for over a year, we talked about family and friends etc and I told her about DS1s eczema, asthma and allergies. She is a special needs teaching assistant and says that I should be able to claim Disability Living Allowance for him.
Is this right? I feel a bit of a fraud for even considering it.

I used to work on DLA - there is no harm asking for an application form.
