Egg and breadcrumb - without the eggs!!

As there seem to be quite a lot of egg allergies on here I am intrigued to know how you all egg and breadcrumb (eg things like fishcakes) without the egg. I've tried just plain water to stick the breadcrubs on and a paste of flour and water which are sort of acceptable but not that great!! Has anyone come up with a good alternative solution?

Thanks, Coral

Plain yoghurt thinned with milk works well.

I use milk or yoghurt aswell

the other thing is a light coat of olive oil (i.e. lighty coat with oil then dunk in the breadcrumbs). I know that makes it more fattening but I figure those without milk and egg always need a bit of extra fat anyway!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions - unfortunately all dairy is strictly off limits in our house although I might give some plain soya yoghurt a whirl. Thanks foxinsocks for the oil suggestion - hadn't thought of that but can see how it could work. Fishcakes here we come!!!
