CMPA Prescription help

My little girl has just been prescribed Aptamil Pepti 1 as the doctor thinks she has a milk allergy. Does anyone have any experience with this?

How much do you get prescribed at one time? We’ve only been prescribed 800g but her current formula is an 800g box and that only lasts 5/6 days, and considering prescriptions take a few days to sort out I feel like I’m gonna be constantly ordering it to make sure we don’t run out.

My daughter is prescribed for neocate and we receive over a months supply. As she has dropped bottles, it lasts even longer now. Just instruct your gp on your monthly needs and they shouldn't have a problem increasing the prescription once you've confirmed it has made a difference.

My ds was prescribed CMPA formula (can’t remember which one now as it was 4 years ago) and it seemed like every Monday, I had to put a prescription in to get two tubs which lasted a week.

The pharmacist in the end messaged the doctor to get them to prescribe a months worth which I was very grateful for

In my practice we would usually prescribe a small amount (1-2 weeks worth) to see if it helps then see how she's doing and put a months worth on repeat if it's doing the trick
