I have to make some brownies for someone who has a nut allergy.

For obvious reasons I am taking this very seriously, but feeling very nervous about it.

I have to admit I couldn't believe how difficult it is to find any chocolate at all that can't claim to be nut free. However, I have finally found Dr Oetker cooking chocolate that states it is nut free.

Can anyone offer me advice on this chocolate or any other chocolate please

Thanks in advance

Ask the person with the allergy which brands they trust. You might find they are happy to eat 'may contain traces of' chocolate.

Also check on their sensitivity - can they eat food cooked in a brownie pan that had walnuts/etc previously but has been washed since?

Cross contamination in home cooking is the only reason I've had allergic reactions in the past decade. People mean well, but can be careless. It's good you are asking, but best of you speak to the intended recipient. All allergies are different.
