My pharmacy kept saying Epipens were unavailable so after waiting weeks, I quizzed another pharmacy, who also told me they couldn't get them either.
This is not correct. They are available but your pharmacy has another procedure to follow to get them. I found this online and gave my chemist the information and received our Epipens within the week. Please go to www.epipen.co.uk/ and take a copy of the instructions for Pharmacists to your chemist, along with your prescription.
I had read this previously but presumed my chemist was doing this already, you expect them to know. On personally emailing Mylan to check on stock availability, I was informed Epipens were actually in stock and to instruct our pharmacy to follow the procedure online and they would be despatched within 2 days. Maybe I was just unfortunate that no pharmacy in my area seemed to know the proceedure but just thought I would spread the word in case anyone else is in the same situation and holding out for their Epipens.
