Hi we have just booked and are about two pay for a two week holiday in the UK in September.

The company we booked with said we would not be covered under their insurance as our two year old has a pre existing medical condition ( she suffers with Anaphylaxis).

Has anyone used a reliable and reasonable company who deals with this?

we need to pay the balance of holiday by Friday and are worried about doing so until we get insurance in place as we would stand to lose a lot of money if we did have to cancel.

Please help!!

Haven't got time to give you exact details but we've been covered quite a few times for out son who has nut allergy(epipen) ,asthma etc.
I'm sure tesco was one we've used.

we are insured through Swinton, although I think I found them under a different name on the net. Have a search in mumsnet travel sections for a company who specify medical conditions you don't have to tell them about. One was nut allergy . If the anaphylaxis is some other allergy you may have to go through their medical screening but it doesn't seem like they are bothered by allergies.

I have just taken outtravel insurance with the RAC and this included cover for my nut allergic ds. Have used a specialist company in the past - they were much more expensive.
