Any alternative names for soya?

Hi There

I need to go on a soya free diet for dd as I'm still b/f and she has extensive eczema. (I'm currently dairy and egg free too).

Anyway, what are the alternative names, if any, for soya that must be avoided?

Oh dear, poor you. I excluded both dairy and soya for a few weeks when we were trying to find the cause of dd's problems, and it was really hard. Soya lecithins are in just about everything! I think that Pure Sunflower spread is the only 'butter' product available to you, to save you label checking!

I'm not aware of any other names for soya, but the allergen info on pre-packaged food should all specify if it contains soya, as it's one of the 'big 8' allergens.

6mth old i nanny for was affected by soya+dairy in breast milk it was hard for mum but it's worth it to find out.
she cut out all allergen foods wheat,soya,dairy,gluten,yeast,egg,fish etc then when lo was clear of all symptoms rashes/eczema started to introduce one thing back at a time for 3 days or untill we saw a reaction unluckily for her looks like lo has multiple intolerances like her big sis

We already use Pure marg so no change there. I've now completely given up eating anything ready made which in a way is great cause I've lost a ton of weight and I'm more healthy than I've ever been...if only I could say the same for dd.

Spoke to dietician and lecithin is the main one but that link which Weezy included is great.
