RAST tests - waiting for results

I don't know what happens everywhere else, but DS had blood taken for RAST tests yesterday, but I won't be told the results until I can next get an appointment with the paediatrician - which is on 29th November!! 4 1/2 months of torture... poor thing, he's only 5, he was good as gold and sat there without moving when they took the blood, and he quite rightly would like to know if he's still allergic! As would we all!

They normally do skin prich first - so they know what to test for - and RAST takes a few weeks. Skin prick results you get then and there. RAST results, in my experience, get sent to your gp/ you. So I would phone the paediatrician's secretary in about 4 weeks time if you/ your gp have heard nothing. If they won't give them to you get your gp to phone.
