DD's reaction to something?

My DD (15mo) had a reaction to something she ate last night - eyes red, itchy and swollen, nose running and sneezing and her face was red all over. Gave her some Piriton and she was ok after 30 mins or so. The only thing I could think it was is she had a couple of bites of meringue, so possibly the egg in it? She has eaten things containing well cooked eggs no problem eg cakes but I've never given her eggs on their own because my older daughter had a bad reaction to scrambled eggs at 1 years old too. Where do I go from here? Should I take her to the GP?
