NSAIDs

I am wondering if anyone else has experience with NSAID (ibuprofen, aspirin etc) allergy. For about the last year I have had very swollen eyelids for about 24 hours at a time, maybe 6 times. Eventually went in to have it looked at and came away with “it could be anything, don’t touch your eyes.” Then , very scarily, last week I had full on anaphylaxis while working out in the gym . I had taken ibuprofen beforehand for headache. Ended up in the emergency room. Now I have seen an allergy doc who was pretty convinced this is an NSAID allergy that has built up over time (what I just don’t know is whether the eye thing correlates w pain med usage; though for sure I have taken them other times and not had the eye thing). Basically I have to steer clear of NSAIDs for now and carry an epi pen.

I am 4 months pp, second baby. No known allergies before. I took daily aspirin in the pregnancy for pre-eclampsia risk reduction.

Any experiences of this and especially what happened long term , would be really helpful.
