Could this be coeliac disease?

Hi all!

I've been bloated now for quite a while. Also suffering from loose stools (although that seems to have turned into constipation for the last few days)
Quite often I get, what I can only assume to be indigestion. It's incredibly painful, the only thing that helps is strong painkillers, gaviscon double action and a hot water bottle. A strange pain radiates all through my back, between my sides and shoulders. It lasts for hours, quite often with me needing to sleep it off. It's gone by the morning, although I often have a restless night.

This quite often happens after I eat pastry products, sometimes pasta... and ALWAYS after eating a Big Mac (not that I do often). It happens at other times too, though I can't always pinpoint what it is that's caused it.

Has anyone experienced this?
My dr has booked me in for a blood test (2wks away!)
He's checking me for ovarian cancer (as a precaution because of the bloating & stools) and coeliac disease.

The more I read about coeliac disease the more it rings true for me. I'll be quite stumped if my blood test comes back negative (not that I want to be coeliac, just that it would be nice to understand why I feel so rubbish)

Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? If so, what did it turn out to be?

It could be but has your gp ruled out your gall bladder? A lot of your symptoms could be attributed to that too

It could be coeliac and it's good you're getting tested but the shoulder pain could also indicate gallstones. I used to get very similar attacks after eating rich foods, esp red meat. It turned out to 've gallstones.

I’d say gall bladder too - high fat foods (pastry and Big Macs etc definitely aggravate it if there’s an issue I think.
