During ashthma review he was told he doesn't have asthma anymore and has an allergy. Not sure to what though. Haven't changed brands of washing powder, cleaning products, ect. Have no pets. He does smoke though.
Any thoughts?

Do you know what they are basing the decision on?

My old surgery used to run tests and be useful during my asthma reviews. Once I moved, my new surgery is rubbish with the reviews, no tests and no help (doctors are good in an asthma emergency though - I've always been seen that day for steroids).

Perhaps he could make a gp appointment and ask them for advice on what he might be allergic to, or why they think his symptoms have changed (it's usually a nurse doing the reviews).

Well isn't it chicken and egg?

I was diagnosed as asthmatic thirty years ago. Over the years I've worked out that my asthma is only triggered by allergies.

I always collect my new blue inhalers when the old ones expire just in case I get stung by a wasp or am in too much contact with cats, Mould or dust.

So am I actually asthmatic?

I expect it's just your GP's new way of documenting the condition.

Does taking antihistamines control his asthma? Is he asthma free when by the sea?
If yes something must be triggering it.
