I also had hayfever while pregnant. I rang and spoke to the doctor, and she prescribed me a nasal spray, which sorted it out no problems. Can't remember what it was though, sorry. As far as I can remember (this was last year and a lot has happened since then!), she said that most tablets weren't advisable and that some GPs don't recommend the sprays, but she had used the nasal spray while she was pregnant. Hope this helps.

you can get eye drops and a nasal spray from the docs.

I have also been prescribed piriton for a hideous rash i had whilst pg and was told that was safe to take. It must be the old piriton that you take 2-3 times a day not the one-a-day type. It does make you drowsy though.

I had awful congestion when pregnant last year [it was so bad I couldn't sleep for more than 40 mins at a time!], and at first the dr said i could only use menthol so suffered badly for weeks, then eventually was given beconaise nasal spray which is safe [particularly at later stages] and was a complete godsend

I have had hayfever for most of my life and have been either pregnant or bf for the last 7 years so I have tried most of the things that claim to help naturally.

  1. Medinose has been by far the biggest miracle I have experienced in stopping all the symptoms. It is very expensive but it works see www.amazon.co.uk/Medinose-45030-Hayfever-Allergy-Trea tment/dp/B000BI69UQ/ref=pdbbssr_1/026-2988413-9345232?ie=U TF8&s=personal&qid=1182369367&sr=8-1

2.nasopure, known as neti or nose washing see www.shopneti.co.uk/viewdoc_12.php here and lots of articles on how it helps. takes a while to get use to but washes all the pollen away.

  1. buy lots of garden spray bottles, have one for the car, living room and bedroom, fill with water and turn nozzle to fine mist setting. As you don't get hayfever when it rains, it helps wash and dampen down the pollen around you, other people, pets, furniture, the windows, etc.

4.vasaline or balm spread thinly over eyelashes and up nose

  1. if no relief have shower, wash hair and change clothes.

Good luck x
