Hi,

My 10 month old little boy has got a terrible rash which is covering his back and now creeping up his neck and round his jaw.

It started as what looked with heat rash - red pin pricks which were raised, but now its quite alot worse and is not getting any better.

I took him to the out of hours doctor who said it looks like an allergic reaction to something - haven't changed washing powder etc! and has given him some medicine to stop the iching.

Is there anything else it can be?

Is there anything else I can give him?

I am putting cream on it to try to cool it but it is driving him up the wall - he doesn't want to sleep and he just cries all the time...

Any advice would be great!!!

Thanks

Hi bennj

i know you said you hanent changed washing powder but has he eaten anything new or item of new clothing.
Is the cream what the doctor prescibed? if the rash is driving him cazy you could try a luke warm bath but with nothing in it, but if its gets worse phone NHS direct they are really good. also what medicine are you giving him?
