Is this hayfever???

I have never had to worry about hayfever so to be honest I don't know what to look out for.

Couple of weeks ago when out and about my 6 year old started complaining about a blocked nose and was constantly sniffling. Then she started rubbing her eyes and said they are really itchy.

Could this be hayfever?

I have now started to notice when we are in doors she is fine but within 5 mins of being outside her nose becomes blocked the sniffling and itchy eyes start.

If it is hayfever, what do I have to do? Do I need to book a docs appointment or is it something I can help her with myself?

Sorry with all the questions about it but as said above I have no idea what I need to do as I've never suffered myself or actually been around anyone that suffers with it

Sounds like it could be. Especially if the grass had been cut recently? You can buy piriteze over the counter - check with the pharmacist as there is liquid piriton but it has a minimum age and I don’t know what it is. Piriteze is a different type of antihistamine and can be given from 1+

Sounds like it - piriton and worth trying eye drops like optrex and also a nasal spray - you can get both the saline one and also a steroid one which helps open everything up to stop all the sniffling! Ask your pharmacist and they will be able to advise you best
