Ds has had an allergic reaction to egg and cream (facial swelling both times). I have an appointment at the hospital in a couple of months time but was wondering whether it was ok to give him nuts (thinking almonds in a museli bar or something not peanuts) or if i should avoid them until he is older now he already has food allergys?

I know the advice is usually to avoid until they are a year but wasn't sure how that changes now hes reacted to other foods.

my health visitor advised no nuts until ds2 was 8 years old!

I would go to anaphylaxis.org.uk and ask them for some sensible advice - they will know, whereas in my experience at least you are likely to get different advice from every medical professional you see!
