Coeliac testing what next?

Hi everyone

my blood test results came back positive for coeliac last week and I was told I would be referred for an endo. Had the letter though today and I appear to have been allocated a consultation appointment rather than actual endo procedure which doesn’t seem right from everything I’ve read? Has anyone else had this? The appointment isn’t for 3 months so you can imagine I am feeling a little disappointed.

It’s perfectly normal, you get referred to a gastroenterologist who will oversee you care

At the appointment they will discuss the results, future endoscopy and referral to the team dietitian

It’s normal to be reviewed annually with coeliac disease under the care of the gastroenterologist who will do bloods to check your condition has settled
