Does anyone have a recipe for gluten free teething biscuits that actually works? The one I have tried so far made great looking but very crumbly teethers - help, poor ds desperate for something really hard and slightly tasty to knaw on!

I didn't make any of my own - I used gluten free rusks frowned upon by some but a life saver for me.

They are pretty hard btw!

Have you tried a raw carrot?

Daisybump · 25/04/2007 23:02

Have you tried coeliac UK website......there might be some advice on there....and Here is a link to it...there's a section on specialist food and drink. Or try your local branch as someone may have come up with a recipe.

hope you find something suitable.

Ha, where did you find G-F rusks? Have looked and looked? Yup, he loves raw carrot as well but prefers something even harder at the mo poor chap.
Incedentally, why were the rusks frowned upon?

I buy them from Tescos, not many stores do them but large tescos stores should, I think its because they have alot of sugar in them, although the gluten free ones are reduced sugar and as a bonus half a gluten free rusk = the same nutrients as a whole non gluten free one GREAT!!!!

Crikey, is that £7.11 for THREE rusks?! No wonder they aren't stocked everywhere! Still hanging out for a recipe to make my own - yeah, brief moment of domestic goddess madness, am taking advantage of it while I can!
