What’s the most shit thing you’ve been offered at someone’s house?

Went to DSisters on Boxing Day. She’s vegetarian so we always make sure at least half the buffet is vegetarian if we have a party. There were only 10 people there including them.

I’ve got CMPA which she knows about and she often eliminate dairy from her diet too. Out of the entire buffet the only things I could eat were...

Hummus, carrot sticks, cucumber sticks and pickled onions.

So what’s the least anybody has done to cater for you and your allergies?

I have coeliac disease and at my work Christmas party, my place card said, in capital letters 'NO BREAD' and my dessert was literally a handful of berries on a plate. No garnish, no embellishments. My colleagues were tucking into chocolate fudge cheesecake. Waahh.

That’s awful. I know someone who is Coeliac and at their Christmas do they sent the pudding back to the kitchen and said try again. Don’t know if i could have been that brave.

I couldn't do that either... Good for them though!! It is annoying with any allergy that you pay the same (or more often than not more) as everyone else and are usually left with inadequate amounts of food, or just crap food!

Exactly! It’s so frustrating. We went to a little brasserie for our Christmas do. They couldn’t have been better with my dairy allergy. I did get the usual fruit for pudding but they make a beautiful fresh fruit salad. It was huge and they’d really made an effort with presentation. Makes a refreshing change Smile
