CMPA Diagnosis Combi Feeding?

My LO has has issues with reflux since birth. I was really concerned about the amount of sick she was bringing up in the hospital when born but it was ignored. LO was the same until we started weaning on the breast milk more than the formula after she was over her jaundice at about 5 weeks then it wasn't so bad. Around 8 weeks old after a tongue tie division 2 weeks earlier it amped up for a week or two and then settled again. We had another flare up 2 weeks later and then settled again and this seems to be the pattern, big flare ups of sick, screaming, back arching, screaming, constipation then diarrhea all of a sudden but the rest of the time nothing or low level symptoms. We've seen a dietician who suspected CMPA and suggested similac for the top ups she has which we've done and LO is fine now since so we've been told not to give any dairy when weaning. My question is, I'm still eating dairy (only small amounts and not every day as I'm sensitive myself) as that was going to be the next phase of investigation if the formula didn't work, can LO really have CMPA? I know it was explained she'll only get a small amount through breastmilk but can this be the case considering it's been on and off and all we've changed is the formula which was only 5oz spread over an evening?

I’m not sure on that one. I’ve got CMPA too and I do react to things differently so I wouldn’t rule it out. Does she get things like mucus in her poo and a swelly tummy?

@EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic Yes, from time to time she gets mucus in her nappy. She always seems to have a swollen tummy and farts all day but just not sure about it being so on and off and the fact I'm still having dairy occasionally with no obvious effect.

I think if she’s farting, having mucus in her poo and a swollen tum it does sound like she’s reacting to me. Reactions don’t necessarily happen straightaway 🙂
