Allergic parent with allergic child

I have a severe peanut allergy, and a couple of weeks ago I had a. Anaphylactic reaction and nearly died. It was my worst reaction ever.

My 3yo is allergic to eggs, though seems to be outgrowing it, and was tested a couple of years ago for various allergies. He showed a very very slight sensitivity to cashew nuts and they recommended a supervised feedchallenge. As he was so young I said not yet.

This morning he ate a tiny bit of pistachio, and a few minutes later was sick. He was fine afterwards.

I am not fine though. I am feeling sick and shaken. I poisoned my child. I feel so guilty that I have passed on allergic tendencies.

I am going to talk to the children's allergy service today.

Just wondering if there are any other parent and child allergic combinations. Handhold needed.

You didn't poison him and you haven't passed on your allergies on purpose, please don't beat yourself up Thanks
