CMPI - Neocate formula. Did your LO get worse before they got better?

DS (5 months) was settled on nutramigen for a good 7 weeks until symptoms slowly but surely started coming back. GP felt ds had built an intolerance to nutramigen and changed him to neocate. This is day 4 of neocate and things have got worse. Explosive acidic nappies, passing more wind and trapped wind seem to be new symptoms (these settled on nutramigen and weren't those symptoms which came back).

Please give me hope I have lost a close family member today and am tearing my hair out

Really sorry for your loss. Flowers

I honestly don't remember if it got worse or not but what I do remember is that there was a period of "nothing's happening!"

I think it was about 3 weeks before the symptoms stopped. But it did lessen gradually during that time. I remember that we put vanilla essence through it at first for taste, that was a tip I found on here.

After that he was a new baby. Or rather, he just had a more relaxed life. He was on it till 18 months and was back on dairy by 2.

Give it 3 weeks. Best of luck to you.
